In another Sacramento self-examination, we created a chain-store inventory to see how Sac sized up to its big-city siblings. Now, we might not have the tallest skyscraper or the most graffiti, but we tie San Diego for greatest number of Wal-Marts. If this makes you cringe, well, brace yourself—there’s more “coming soon.”
The number of stores for each city was determined by counting the number of locations identified by each company’s store locater as having that specific city in the address.
