More cheer
You can count your blessings (instead of sheep, as the song goes) and extend that holiday cheer with a new touring production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, which opens Tuesday, December 27. This stage adaptation of the classic 1954 Bing Crosby-Danny Kaye movie is packed with music—and not just “White Christmas”—as it tells the story of two showbiz buddies putting on a show in a Vermont inn, and finding love in the process. 8 p.m. shows from Tuesday, December 27, through Saturday, December 32, and 2 p.m. matinees on Thursday, December 29, Saturday, December 31, and Sunday, January 1; $25-$100. Community Center Theater, 1301 L Street; (916) 808-5181; www.californiamusicaltheatre.com.
