Monsters onstage
Get ready for the monster mash—onstage, at least—next fall, when two of the greatest supernatural forces of all time are revived under the artistic powers of the Sacramento Ballet and the Sacramento Theatre Company. Sac Ballet has announced its next season, which includes an October production of Dracula. And if that’s not enough terror for the Halloween season (yes, it’s a “season” now), STC is staging Tim Kelly’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, opening October 5, and running all month. That’s right, we’re covered for bloodsuckers and revenants; now all we need are some ghosts, a zombie or two, and perhaps a little “Let’s Do the Time Warp Again!” to make it a perfectly horror-ble holiday.
