Monsters, Inc.
The computer masters at Pixar (
Toy Story,
A Bug’s Life) continue their brilliant streak with this clever movie about what’s going on beyond the closet door. It turns out that monsters are working stiffs like us, trying to reach scream quotas, with screams being their main power source in the monster world. When a little girl slips through her closet door into their world, all hell breaks loose, because monsters are terrified of children. Billy Crystal and John Goodman provide some good voice work, and the graphics are nothing short of stunning. While the film doesn’t pack the emotional punch of the
Toy Story films, it’s funny and great to look at.
