Mike Dillon is held in high regard in many music circles. The hyperkinetic percussionist and vibraphonist has plied his trade as a sideman with artists like Les Claypool and Ani DiFranco, while also being part of mind-blowing collectives like Garage a Trois and Critters Buggin'. Last weekend, his four-member band enthralled festivalgoers at the High Sierra Music Festival with its shenanigans. Dillon, who sometimes morphs into MC Silver Ice, takes the listener on a wild ride that weaves from punk and funk to jazz and metal.
