Meet Hiram Johnson
On any given day, you can walk through the gleaming woodwork and ornate decor of the State Capitol and get a taste of the pomp and glory of California’s political history. This Saturday, you’ll get more than a taste when the Capitol Museum Volunteer Association celebrates Governor’s Day. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can witness costumed actors dressed as Governors Henry Gage, George Pardee, James Gillett, Hiram Johnson and their wives re-enacting important events from their administrations.
