The V Word would like to jump on that seasonal-eating bandwagon with the food that defines fall: candy corn. Thought I was going to say pumpkins? Please. But the orange, yellow and white sugary triangles are made with gelatin, albumen (egg-white protein), honey or beeswax, which is why I was excited to come across a vegan recipe for the candy at The Urban Housewife blog (www.tinyurl.com/vcandycorn). And the Cheap Healthy Good blog (http://cheaphealthygood.blogspot.com) made some great adaptations to the U.H. time-consuming-but-worth-it recipe, like using agave nectar instead of corn syrup.
