Marigold margarita

There are two qualities I look for in a good margarita: I want it fresh and boozy. It doesn’t need to be pretty, but the Flamingo House’s persimmon margarita delivers on all three. A new K Street bar, the Flamingo House boasts a colorful lounge atmosphere, fitting for fruity drinks crafted by friendly bartenders. Topped with persimmon slices and a small marigold, the margarita ($11) has slight spice but is not overwhelmed by the fruit. And it’s not too sweet to have a second. Or third.
