Man of the House

This boring action-comedy has a few token chases and absolutely zero laughs. Tommy Lee Jones stars as Texas Ranger Roland Sharp, one of Hollywood’s typically tough cop codgers with a sensitive streak just beneath his crusty exterior. One of his immediate crime-fighting tasks here is to shove his arm all the way up to his shoulder in a cow’s rectum to retrieve a cell phone. He is assigned to baby-sit and guard five university cheerleaders (Christina Milian, Monica Keena, Paula Garcés, Kelli Garner and Vanessa Ferlito) after they witness a killing. The pompom pushers return the favor by helping him reconcile with his estranged daughter (Shannon Marie Woodward). Directed by Stephen Herek (Rock Star and 101 Dalmatians).
