Make space for music
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church continues their 2007-2008 Space:music series—“Space” standing for St. Paul’s Arts and Cultural Experience—with a performance this Saturday night of pieces by Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist, Jason Robert Brown. The concert is also a fundraiser for the church’s music program. Sacramento’s Claire McKnight (soprano) will perform selections by Brown, best known for his award-winning score for Parade—a dramatization of the trial and lynching of Jewish factory manager Leo Frank in 1913—as well as his Off-Broadway hit The Last Five Years. McKnight will be joined by baritone-tenor Christopher Plank and pianist Chris Schlagel.
