Two amateur boxers get a chance for some action as mob goons in this re-teaming of Swingers’ Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau (who writes and directs). This film doesn’t possess the snappy magic of the original teaming, but Vaughn and Favreau continue to do good work together, and the movie has its moments. Vaughn is in his fast-talking mode, his character quite similar to his Swingers persona. Favreau, once again, plays the sensible one. The only major twist is that they are mobster wannabes, instead of martini-swilling best buds looking to score some beautiful babies in Vegas, baby, Vegas! This is OK, but a full-on Swingers sequel would be better.
