Mad world

Davis’ renowned young people’s production company Acme Theatre presents this 1969 Jean Giraudoux story. Madwomen of Chaillot follows a group of mercenary business men who excavate the streets of Paris in order to reap the profits from the oil they’ve discovered there. Eccentric Aurelia enlists the help of her fellow “mad women” and other quirky villagers to halt the plot. Beautifully designed and directed by Emily Henderson, the subject matter remains uncannily relevant in today’s world. 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday; 4 p.m. Sunday.
