Just got dumped in time for the holidays? Wanna relax behind a few beers and laugh your way out of misery? Murray Schisgal’s dark comedy Luv may be just your ticket. It’s currently being staged at the Arden Playhouse, which sits nestled between the Arden Fair Mall and Red Lion’s Sacramento Inn.

The three-person cast includes teacher Barbara Messmer as Ellen, golf pro Walt Thompson as Milt and computer technician Paul Fearn as Harry. The plot, not to give too much away, centers around married man Milt, who’s trying to foist his girlfriend on a suicidal old college pal; hijinks ensue.

Luv plays the Arden Playhouse most Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m., through Jan. 27 (Dec. 22-30 it goes dark for the holidays). 2120 Royale Rd., Sacramento. Beer and wine available, 21 and over admitted. Tickets are $14 and can be reserved by calling 927-0942.
