Local emcee Salvin Chahal's new collection of poetry, Verses From Above, is unfinished. That was a deliberate choice—blank pages and writing prompts are sprinkled in, giving readers a chance to contribute to Chahal's narrative. The experiment in self-exploration moves through intense issues such as death, social injustice and the struggle to maintain cultural identity.
