Local boy makes mud

Shingle Springs native and 2000 International Freestyle Motocross Association (IFMA) champion Jake Windham will compete against 13 other motocross athletes at this weekend’s IFMA exhibition at Arco Arena. See jumps, wheelies, stoppies (also known as front wheelies) and other feats of motocross derring-do on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets for the show are $16-$25 for adults and $8 for children. Saturday night’s show will be followed by a pit party where fans can walk the track and meet the riders.
