Want to combat the drought, but don't know where to start? Grow Water, a local organization, offers a holistic approach with solutions for individuals, groups and companies. The goal is to equip people with skills and knowledge that will enable them to, among other things, practice conservation, plant native vegetation and safely recycle gray water—a.k.a. the dingy leftover liquid from laundry and other household chores. You can also contribute in a larger capacity through a co-op, which pairs members to implement skills, time and resources. www.growwater.org.
