Lea Salonga

You probably don’t know who she is, but Lea Salonga is an amazing singer. She’s most famous for playing Kim in Miss Saigon, earning her Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World awards. The Filipino singer appeared in dozens of other musicals; she was the first Asian to play Éponine, and later Fantine, in Les Misérables. She also won an Oscar for the song “A Whole New World” from the Disney film Aladdin. On top of that, she’s sold millions of copies of English and Filipino albums worldwide. Prepare to be impressed.
