Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

What a boring, insipid, bloated, wretched piece of trash. Angelina Jolie embodies the video game character of Lara Croft, if you consider Lara Croft to be an asshole. While Jolie’s willingness to do nasty stunts is impressive, her acting performance is stuffy and uninteresting. Rather than fashion a film that is bright, adventurous and exciting, director Simon West has made something dreary and dull. Unspectacular special effects don’t help matters any, and the pacing of the action is lackluster. Stay home, play the game and avoid this trash at all costs. Surely one of the year’s worst films.
