Kombucha limbo
Many vegans and omnivores alike sip kombucha, the healthy fermented tea, including the popular GT’s brand. But then troubled actress and GT’s drinker Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol monitor went off in June, and the beverage, which has 0.5 percent alcohol content, was yanked from shelves. On the website Kombucha Kamp, the founder of the drink, GT Dave, says it’ll be 30 to 45 days until it’ll be back in stores, with a “second version, lighter in taste,” and a “government warning,” but, ultimately, “The ball is not in our court.” Thanks, Lindsay!
