Knowhere?
Bimonthly
Amanda Kay Hopper, editor
This local ’zine, which bills itself as a “bimonthly journal of ranting about politics, culture and society,” is the brainchild of editor in chief Amanda Kay Hopper. I first saw issue No. 4, which was dedicated to debunking love, and in addition to some witty, snarky and occasionally insightful articles, it included a wonderful drawing called “Evolution of the Heart” by Knowhere?’s artistic supervisor, Shawn Hefley. Issue No. 7, the most recent, looks at the subject of evolution in a decidedly nontraditional way, with original poems, essays, rants and artwork from local contributors. Although the material is occasionally uneven in quality, it’s always thought-provoking. Knowhere? is available at spots around Midtown and downtown; for subscription info, e-mail Subs@Knowhere.ws.
