Junk terminators
California State Capitol West Steps
10th St.Sacramento, CA 95814
Recycling aluminum cans and paper is easy enough, but cleaning the planet gets tricky when randomness from junk drawers comes into play. Unfortunately, the city of Sacramento doesn’t give homeowners recycling bins for e-waste. So celebrate Earth Day by eliminating miscellaneous junk at the California Green Fair, which will provide on-site recycling for batteries, eyeglasses, old keys and plastic bags. There also will be music, children’s activities, and several exhibitors featuring tips for going green and recycling. The free event will be Tuesday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the west steps of the Capitol building, 10th Street between N and L streets. For more information visit www.casage.org.
