Jokes, jams and Jane
Thursday, April 9, See Jane Sing
Pretty much everyone in America knows who Jane Lynch is now thanks to Glee. But before she made it to prime time, the actress worked her way up the comedy ladder in The Second City improv theater and a whole bunch of small spots in TV and films. (Her character in The 40-Year-Old Virgin is hilarious.) In other words, her comedy chops are strong. In her new theatrical production, See Jane Sing, Lynch goes the route of musical comedy and pokes fun at the all-American Broadway musical. 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9, $25-$58. Mondavi Center, 9399 Old Davis Road; www.mondaviarts.org.
