Jammies Hosts & Producers
Night of Contemporary Music
Danny Secretion | Host
The Knockoffs, the Secretions. Drummer, singer, guitar player. These are the many hats of Danny Secretion.
The two-time Sammies Hall-of-Famer has been a vital park of Sacramento punk rock since 1991. As drummer of the Secretions, he has numerous North American and West Coast tours under his studded pyramid belt. He’s also made the rounds as drummer for local punk icons the Groovie Ghoulies, toured worldwide as lead guitarist for Kepi Ghoulie, and gone it acoustically alone up and down the West Coast. Currently, when he’s not busy heading up his own independent record label, Drool City Music, he’s bassist for Captain 9’s & The Knickerbocker Trio. You can also catch him doing solo sets, and, as always, oozing sounds with the Secretions.
Jerry Perry | Producer
A mainstay in the scene for over 30 years, Jerry Perry’s tenure with Sacramento live music began in the 1980s with an all-ages venue called the Vortex. Gen Xers will remember vividly his next venture, The Cattle Club, a Folsom Boulevard show haven that brought about the likes of Cake, the Deftones and Far, among others, and attracting national acts such as No Doubt, Weezer, Green Day and Nirvana. Jerry was also the founder of the now-defunct Alive & Kicking, a free monthly publication dedicated specifically to the burgeoning local scene he helped foster.
These days, Jerry can be found collaborating with the Downtown Partnership on the Friday Night Concerts in the Park series at Cesar Chavez Plaza, as well as booking local and touring acts at Old Ironsides, Sacramento’s oldest established bar.
Evening of Classical Music
Marc Feldman | Host
Marc Feldman studied the bassoon at the Mannes College in New York and received diplomas in music education and performance from the École Normale de Musique de Paris. In addition, he has worked with the Aspen Chamber Symphony, the Oregon Symphony, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Now in his fourth season with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra, Feldman has served as its executive director since 2007. He has inaugurated many new projects during his time with the SPO, bringing music closer to our community schools, universities and hospitals.
