Violet
KWOD 106.5
Twas a cold night in upstate NY when Violet realized that she was done with scraping snow, dodging icicles, and getting frostbite waiting outside at concerts. So she packed up her car, grabbed some Christmas ham, and headed cross-country to Sacramento. Violet showed up at KWOD telling them she was going to do nights, she was going to play what she wanted, and she was going to be expecting a paycheck too. Management was afraid to say anything different and she remains at KWOD today also having taken over the local shows—Sounds of Sacramento, Buzzbin, and the Music Director position.
