It’s the life

The Art of Life Photography Exhibition

A unique moment in time.

A unique moment in time.

Andri Tambunan is a wanderer.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, the photographer, writer, truth seeker and SN&R contributor has traveled and taken photos throughout the world. His art—photos of children in contemplation and at play, dreamlike landscapes, daring juxtapositions of man and statue—create a very human, familiar feel; and Tambunan&Rsquo;s use of exotic location and bold color are at once intellectually jarring and soothing.

Tambunan is not selfish.

Through his photographs, he takes the viewer on each of the journeys he’s fortunate enough to embark upon. Hence The Art of Life exhibit from June 13 to June 15 at Negative Space Studio (2114 P Street, second Floor). This show will display many of Tambunan&Rsquo;s photos from his travels to Cambodia, Peru and Thailand. This collection&Rsquo;s ability to capture unique, heartfelt moments in time is the epitome of artistic achievement.

The Art of Life is as much a music festival as it is an art show. Groups like the New Humans, Crazy Ballhead, Pangea Project, Cawzlos, the Bennys and DJ Elevation will perform against the backdrop of Tambunan&Rsquo;s photos for all three days of the exhibit. Bands start at 8 p.m. every night. The gallery opens at 10 a.m., with a reception each day from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
