It’s easy being green

Thanks to the folks at Whole Foods Market, celebrating Earth Day can be done with the greatest of ease. They’ll round up the Earth-friendly vendors (think State of the Earth, Organic Sacramento, Soil Born Farm and Tree Foundation Earthshare); all you have to do is show up. Once you’re there, pick up pamphlets on organic food and farming, solar cookers, recycling and environmental education. Local bluegrass band Mandolin Avenue will provide musical entertainment, and kids can enjoy hands-on activities like papermaking, seed planting, coloring contests and face painting.
