It figures

Swoops of the brush plotting down abbreviated lines and hints of color are enough to convey the motion, emotion and beating heart of Jean Oppermann’s painted figures. The details are created in what’s left out of the painting, allowing the viewer’s brain to complete the movement and expression, and there will be plenty of figures for viewers to contemplate in Oppermann’s July show, aptly named Figure it Out, at B. Sakata Garo.
