Shockheaded Peter

This odd musical delivers a grim fairy tale in the most dark, creepy and delightful way. An adaptation of an 1845 German children's book Der Struwwelpeter (“Slovenly Peter”) by Heinrich Hoffmann, the musical made its debut in 1998 and this rendition is fanciful, imaginative and wicked. But, let's make it clear: This is not a production geared toward children, though it is aimed at the inner child who is titillated by dark tales filled with madness and monsters.
