Put on your kilt, grab your bagpipes and come find your clan at the Dixon Scottish Games and Gathering. There’ll be Scottish music, Highland dancers, folks to help you trace your Scottish lineage, Scottish athletic competitions, fresh meat pies (sold out of a double decker bus!) and delicious shortbread. Prove you’re a braveheart and try the haggis! The colorful opening ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. and the festivities last until 5 p.m. Admission is $8 and children 9 and under are free. 655 South First St., Dixon.
