Green Valley Theatre Company presents a well-done but kind of messy musical about the life and political career of America's seventh president. (Hint: His name is in the title.) Jacob Montoya, in tight pants and eyeliner, embodies the savvy and savage nation-building, Indian-nation-decimating Old Hickory. Spunky and subversive at its best, it's juvenile and offensive at its worst. But it has a good beat, and you can dance (and cringe) to it. F, Sa 8pm; Su 7pm. Through 9/1. $18.
