Hot Chili & Cool Cars
Saturday, September 15, 10am, Rocklin Road and Quarry Park, no cover
The modern combustion engine was invented by Nikolaus Otto in 1876. Chili stands became popular in San Antonio, Texas in the 1880s. Coincidence? Possibly—but possibly not. This event explores the connection by providing a car show along with a chili cook-off. If you pay $10, you’ll get a tasting cup to try all of the competitors’ chilis. You can look at cars, participate in a cake walk, listen to music—and several more activities. 4060 Rocklin Road, rocklin.ca.us/event/hot-chili-and-cool-cars.
