Hope-Down-Drain
Lottery tickets litter
The ground as autumn leaves
After a muscled breeze;
They gather around
Rain-soaked gutters—
City and suburban streets,
Cul-de-sacs and curbs—
Clogging sewer runoffs and
Blocking the path of
Streaming rain water.
