Factory farming is responsible for animal cruelty, environmental degradation through unsafe storage of animal waste and the growing ineffectiveness of antibiotics (which are overused to keep farm animals alive in unhealthy conditions). Take a stand against dangerous farming practices by taking a Walk for Farm Animals. Farm Sanctuary’s annual walk happens in 75 cities, including Sacramento on Saturday, October 9, at 9 a.m. Meet on the north steps of the state Capitol. Dogs are welcome.
