Holy, foamy grail

If you call yourself a beer nerd and aren't going to the California Craft Beer Summit and Brewers Showcase, then keep reading. This is it. The holy grail of Golden State beer festivals. And it's in Sacramento! On Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, hear directly from some of the biggest names in beer: Russian River Brewing Co.'s Vinnie Cilurzo, the Bruery's Patrick Rue, Lagunitas Brewing Co.'s Tony Magee, Stone Brewing Co.'s Greg Koch and more. That summit portion takes place at the Sacramento Convention Center (1400 J Street). At 4 p.m. on Capitol Mall, the brewers showcase begins, featuring more than 150 California breweries. Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, Cellarmaker Brewing Co., Faction Brewing, Societe Brewing Co., Rare Barrel and Woodfour Brewing Co. are among the exciting teams slated to pour their unique and rare offerings.
