High on cheese
Cheese has the same addictive power as … heroin. A slice of creamy fromage somehow is like the food world’s Ecstasy and, naturally, must go on everything: sandwiches, stuffed in jalapeños. Topping a dish with cheese is the easy part; making cheese—from scratch—is art. The Davis Food Co-op will host a series of artisan cheese-making classes, featuring Camembert on Wednesday, December 9; goat cheese on Thursday, December 10; blue cheese on Wednesday, December 16; and mozzarella on Thursday, December 17. Classes begin at 6 p.m. and are $30 each.
