This show doesn’t open until January 16—a week after Second Saturday—but don’t be sore. It’s worth the wait to see the “Humanimal” breeder’s artwork. Formally known as Gerald Heffernon, he is the creator of eerily lifelike sculptures that are a hybrid of human and animal forms, and he is just as articulate with a paintbrush. He will be showing his 2-D work in Inside-Out Evolution at Roseville’s Blue Line Gallery. Besides, it’s the perfect opportunity to partake in the ’burb’s art-walk day, Third Saturday. Farsty factiod: Heffernon is the “farmer” of the giant tomato in front of the Davis Food Co-op.
