Imagine Grace Jones. Now imagine Betty White. Combine them. Now you’ve got Grace White. No, no, not really. We just amuse ourselves. White (Grace, that is) amuses us, too, but she actually is a comedian and the woman responsible for Women Who Kick Comedy Butt. “It’s a revolving lineup and exactly like the Blue Collar Comedy Tour,” White told SN&R last month, “except we’re all women and not rednecks.” Good to know. She started the show because some a-holes still seem to think that women can’t be as funny as men, and gigs for female comedians are accordingly scarce. This Saturday’s butt-kicking takes place at Lockeford’s Vino Piazza, 12479 Lockeford Road. White’s compatriots include Jojeana Marie, a Chapelle’s Show regular, and Christian Shirm, who is known throughout California for her “endless sass.”
