Green promises
Perhaps you’re too lazy to make the popular New Year’s resolution to lose weight. I don’t blame you. Exercise is pretty boring. But how about resolving to go green? The TreeHugger website (www.treehugger.com) argues that even lazy people can do it. It’s almost Zen. Their authors and readers recommended taking the following actions (or inactions): Don’t buy bottled water, reuse bags, use a bike for short trips, patronize the local farmers’ market, don’t eat meat on weekends (or ever), unplug inactive electronic gadgets, use renewable energy, use compact fluorescent light bulbs, wash your clothes in cold water and air-dry them.
