Gone in 60 Seconds
For car lovers and lovers of truly bad films only. Nicolas Cage wastes our time as a retired car thief lured back into action by a villain who threatens to kill his brother (an awful Giovanni Ribisi) if 50 specific, high-end cars are not stolen in a very short time. This film offers no suspense (we are certain that Cage will succeed), and Cage’s character is nothing new for the once-daring actor (enough with the action roles already). Angelina Jolie basically stands around looking bizarre in a bad wig, and Oscar-winner Robert Duvall spends most of his time staring urgently at a chalkboard. A stagnant, boring, useless film.
