Goin’ Sac

The start of something special

If you’re a college student here in Sacramento, you’re also a full-fledged resident of the Capital City, at least for the time being. At SN&R, we consider ourselves ambassadors of our home city. Visitors and residents alike pick up our free weekly newspaper every Thursday to see what’s going on—where to eat, shop, hear live music, do yoga, dance, play trivia, read poetry, play pool, watch movies, see art … uh, oh. We hope you’ll have time left for studying. The point is that a lot happens in Sacramento and we want to make sure you don’t miss it. Ever. That’s why we’ve put together Goin’ Sac 2006—our annual supplement for new and returning Sacramento State students. Once you’ve settled in, take a look at the rest of the paper, too. Our weekly concert and movie listings, restaurant reviews and special columns will help you make the most of your free time and direct you to some hidden gems. Our news and opinion pieces will clue you in to the inner workings of our city and maybe even make you seem smarter in class. We hope you enjoy this year’s Goin’ Sac, and we look forward to meeting you here on the pages of the SN&R again soon.
