Woe to those of us who are wanderers along the way. How to find the gods/god/God we’re supposed to worship? Just take a look at Godchecker, where the friendly folks have assembled an encyclopedia of often-competing belief systems, from the Drunken Rabbit Gods to more familiar invisible magical sky-friends (I’m talkin’ to you, Thor!). Why, they’ve even got a coffee cup touting their motto: “More gods than you can shake a stick at!” But how to know which ones are true? The site suggests respecting them all, giving them credit and remembering you can’t always get what you want. Finally, I just consulted the oracle: What is the true path to enlightenment? It said, “I’m not allowed to answer that question without authorization from Katonda, the Ugandan god of bureaucracy.” Hail, Katonda, hail.
