Global Incident Map

If you thought it wasn’t possible to get any more frightened, along comes this site to remind you that where fear is concerned, there’s always more. Each incident of possible terrorism—from a bombing in Iraq to a laser pointer used against a police helicopter in Orange County—is logged by location, date and time. Just click on any icon on the map to see a full description of whatever “suspicious” event you want to be most frightened about: a bomb scare at a Tennessee courthouse or an evacuation in New Zealand prompted by the discovery of a vial of white powder. Included are links to news reports and precise GPS location of the threat. But remember: It’s not that there’s so very much to be afraid of; it’s that knowing about all of it will scare you far more than is useful.
