Get roasted
Congratulations, vegans: Another Thanksgiving has passed. You get 11 months off until having to again field questions about whether you’re eating Tofurky. Usually, this herbivore fasts on All Gluttons’ Day, because even the potatoes have cow juice (milk) in them—and also in remembrance of the American Indian populations decimated by the U.S. government. (Yes, I am the life of all the parties.) But the holidays aren’t over yet, so for the next family dinner, consider Field Roast Grain Meat Co.’s Celebration Roast. The savory, protein-rich loaf is made with wheat gluten, butternut squash, apples and mushrooms. It’s fulfilling, and nobody died in making it. Probably.
Some people—and children—know there’s something not right about eating animals, but choose to ignore what makes them uncomfortable about it instead.
