Get Carter
Sylvester Stallone is set adrift in a film without a pulse. He plays a career criminal who returns home to find out why his brother has died, and he walks around in nice suits mumbling a lot. Don’t get me wrong; I’m a huge Stallone fan, but sometimes his speech patterns do become unintelligible. Even more frightening than Stallone’s lack of effort is Mickey Rourke’s face. His skin is pulled tighter than John Goodman’s waistband. The film isn’t bad, and it isn’t good. On the other hand, it is extremely dull, and not beneficial to Stallone’s stalling career.
