It's been 18 years since Tank Girl's release, and now the film's setting is only 20 years into the future. Starring Lori Petty, Naomi Watts, Malcolm McDowell and Ice-T, this Rachel Talalay-directed cult fave tells what happens after a meteorite smashes into Earth and bad guys start running the show. The film's title character (Petty) is a “poster girl for the apocalypse”—a badass heroine who must face off against a gang of hybrid half-man, half-kangaroo creatures. So, yeah, this all could totally happen within the next two decades, right? A new DVD-Blu-ray Disc combo package ($24.97) features the original trailer, cast interviews and more.
