Friday on your mind

Head Automatica, which is much more “postmodern” than getting it manually.

Head Automatica, which is much more “postmodern” than getting it manually.

Dang. Don’t you hate it when there is more than one irresistible option on a Friday night? In addition to Adrian Bourgeois appearing at the True Love Coffeehouse, the great Leo Kottke, a brilliant finger-style guitarist who also excels at making wry commentary between songs, will play the Crest Theatre, 1013 K Street, at 8 p.m.; tickets are $25-$30. On a more inexpensive and rocking tip, Th’ Losin Streaks and the Bright Ideas shake up Old Ironsides, 1901 10th Street, commencing at 9 p.m.; $5 gets you in. And if major-label “modern” rock is your jones, you can head over to the Colonial Theatre at 3522 Stockton Boulevard to see Lost Prophets, Head Automatica and the ironically named Kill Radio. The KWOD-sponsored show starts at 7 p.m.; tickets are $15. Now don’t you feel better?
