Fri, Nov 26, E2
Luigi’s Fun Garden, 8:30 p.m., $5
Local indie band E2’s back story, which can be read in its entirety at www.lenbrownsociety.com, is a cool, local making-of-the-band yarn. Allow me to synopsize: Eric Buell and Eric Warren were co-workers at pivotal singer-songwriter haven the True Love Coffeehouse. One day after work, they started jamming; E2 was born. Later, Warren met drummer Anthony Ordonez at a Tortoise concert; then, Sacramento bassist Mason DeMusey joined the fold. The band has one Scott McChane recorded release, Shackles, under its belt, and this Friday will be the release of The Cover Up, E2’s latest. Jay Shaner opens. 1050 20th Street, www.myspace.com/esquaredsacramento.
