Fri, Nov 13, Supersuckers
Harlow’s, 10 p.m., $15
Originally entitled the Black Supersuckers, and formed out in Tucson, Ariz., in 1988, Supersuckers took their project to Seattle the following year and subsequently dropped the black. They were by far one of the strangest of the Sub Pop bands of the so-called “grunge years,” led by singer/bass player Eddie Spaghetti, they are apparently still alive and well after 20 years on the scene. Their music is one of the few pure rock ’n’ roll acts in music. Their raw energy has survived the aging process, despite putting out their greatest hits album, How the Supersuckers Became the Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World, a full decade ago. 2708 J Street, www.myspace.com/supersuckers.
