For those who actually migrate to Friday Night Concerts in the Park for the music—instead of the beer garden—Sacramento musician Kepi Ghoulie will open the free summer concert series this Friday. It seems fitting that the first gig of the season is a healthy mix of electric pop punk and ’60s folk-inspired acoustic tunes. They sound like complete opposites, but Ghoulie executes both with precision. He even distinguishes his MySpace calendar with “Kepi acoustic” or “Kepi electric” shows. Nice.
