Oakland’s Slumberland Records boasts a 100-plus release catalog, which is a dutiful primer of all things punk and indie pop over the past 18 years, from 7-inches by Australia’s equally polished garage-pop six-piece Summer Cats (pictured) to even more bubble-gum angst, kid-friendly fare like the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. And so, Friday’s Record Club plus Slumberland party night will cover all your pop-rock bases, complete with sets by the former act, Massachusetts’ Pants Yell!, San Francisco’s Eux Autres and Sacto’s the English Singles.
